As I look toward my future as an educator, I am excited to continue growing and improving my practice. My goal is to create a classroom environment where all students feel valued, supported, and capable of success. I want to continue strengthening my classroom management skills, especially in creating consistent routines and maintaining engagement throughout the day. Differentiating for my students and just being reliable and someone they can trust to prepare them for their next steps in school.

I also hope to continue improving my ability to differentiate instruction so that I can meet the needs of all learners. Building strong relationships with students will remain a priority for me, as I believe connection is the foundation of effective teaching.

I am so grateful for all of the learning experiences I have had through UNLV, as they have helped prepare me for the realities of the classroom. I especially want to thank my mentor teacher, Ms. Totman, who has taught me so much throughout this journey. Being in her classroom and working with the littles showed me just how much patience, care, and dedication it takes to be an educator. She demonstrated what it means to truly show up for students every single day.

Through this experience, I have come to understand that it takes a special person to be a teacher. Even on the hard days, when things feel overwhelming, you still look back and realize why you are there. You show up for your students, you push through, and you remind yourself that if no one else can do it, you can that is why I am here, for the kids.

As I move forward in my teaching career, I am committed to continuing to learn, grow, and make a positive impact in the lives of my students. My student teaching experience has not only strengthened my skills, but it has also confirmed my passion and purpose as an educator. I am excited for what lies ahead and the opportunity to create a classroom where students feel inspired to learn.
